Building Solid Foundations for Positive Change That Sticks (Online)

February 6, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:15 am

In our opening session, we’ll be sharing insights and tools for creating a daily personal development practice, to change habits and grow.

We often convince ourselves (and others too) that we don’t have any spare time to focus on changing bad habits. We’re too busy, anxious and stretched. Yet, glance at the time spent on your phone and social media, and you will be horrified. Therefore, it’s never a time issue. It’s really about priorities, breaking through comfort zones, and it’s about setting intentions and learning how behaviour change works.

In this opening session, as well as talking about the above, we’ll be sharing insights and takeaway tools on how to develop a daily personal development practice. This includes:

*Personal Dev Journaling-what is it, where to start, what goes in?

*Clarity-how to identify what we want & what’s getting in our way?

*Behaviour Change-understanding the very basics of habit change.

*Reflection Time-nothing changes if we don’t allow the crucial time to pause, step back and reflect on what is/isn’t working for us.

Overthinking & Overwhelm

Wrapping up the session, we discuss and invite suggestions on what is causing our overwhelm. Inevitably, it is some form of TOO-MUCH. Too many expectations of ourselves and others; too much worrying about what others think, do or don’t do; too much trying to be it all, do it all, achieve it all; too much pushing down emotions and not facing our fears; too much procrastination, distractions, avoidance, living in the past, fearing the future, fearing change, trying to be perfect, not letting go, too much compassion, people-pleasing.
