The Business & IP Centre at Exeter and Barnstaple Libraries host a range of events and workshops to suit start-ups, entrepreneurs or businesses looking to learn new skills or research their industry.
Webinars run weekly on a variety of subjects and are a great way to get an overview of a new topic, or a refresher which can help you to look at your business plan in a new light. Whether you’re just starting out or an established business looking to grow, our webinars are useful, inspiring and informative.
One-to-ones are useful for enquiring about how you can access business information and support, to discuss a problem or question you have in a specific area of your business, or to find out more about Intellectual Property. Find out more information on our 1-to-1s page.
Imagine your ideal workplace Christmas party. You might not be part of a large company that can organise big festive blowouts, but you’d like to rub shoulders with fellow freelancers and entrepreneurs over a full Christmas dinner. That’s why we’re inviting you to an entertaining evening at our Eat, Meet, XMAS Greet held at Passage House Hotel on the 13th of December!
Whether you’re a sole trader, a start-up, or a limited company, you’re welcome to bring your best Christmas jumpers and jokes to our celebration of Devon’s diverse range of businesses. We’ll be joined by guests from Libraries Unlimited, the Chambers of Commerce, and Teignbridge District Council.
The evening starts at 7PM. You’ll be able to tuck in to a fantastic festive dinner at 8, and throughout the evening, the private bar, compere and in-house DJ will be there to put you in the holiday spirit. One of the highlights of our evening will be a grand auction where businesses will be offering their goods and services to the highest bidder.
Tickets are £40 each for regular guests, with a £5 discount for any members of the Library, Chambers, or Teignbridge Council networks. These will sell out quickly, so book now to avoid disappointment.
This will be taking place in the Templar Suite at Passage House Hotel. There will be free onsite parking for guests and good access to public services, with taxis going to and from the Newton Abbot train station, and those who would like to stay the night at the hotel can get a 20% discount off their rooms.
There will also be vegetarian, gluten and dairy free options, rooms will be accessible to anyone via lift, and people will be grouped into seats of ten. If you have any additional dietary requirements, accessibility issues, and seating preferences, please email bipc@librariesunlimited.org.uk.
We can’t wait to see you there!
