Due to Covid-19, many of our events are currently hosted online, via Zoom.
Webinars run weekly on a variety of subjects and are a great way to get an overview of a new topic, or a refresher which can help you to look at your business plan in a new light. Whether you’re just starting out or an established business looking to grow, our webinars are useful, inspiring and informative.
One-to-ones are useful for enquiring about how you can access business information and support, to discuss a problem or question you have in a specific area of your business, or to find out more about Intellectual Property. Find out more information on our 1-to-1s page.

How to be productive working from home
September 28, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
When running a business from home, there certain things to take into consideration. These can be the difference between a smoothly run business and a stressful, chaotic environment for everyone living under the same roof.
When working from home you won’t have a boss breathing over your neck, holding you accountable to deadlines. You won’t have to clock in and out anymore and be dictated to when you can take your lunch break or take a trip to the coffee machine.
Whilst for many of us these are reasons to work for ourselves, they can also be our downfall if we’re not careful.
In this session, we are going to cover key topics to help you run a productive business from home.
Angie Taffs’ background is in business management, development and training and she currently runs an online business consultancy in addition to an online marketing agency, Seahorse Creative. She is experienced in running courses and workshops both online and in person. In 2008, as Head of Training at Applegate Business Directory, she was responsible for the training of new and existing staff on website design, SEO and the use of CRM and project management software. She further carried out workshops and training classes when she went on to join local business enterprise agency, North Devon+, as a business advisor and project manager.
During her time at North Devon+ she acted as Project Manager and Senior Business Advisor for the European funded Superfast Business Program. This program focused on tailored IT support and digital skills development to drive competitiveness through enhanced understanding of digital technologies. Angie delivered one to one training and ran a series of digital workshops to business at all levels, from start-ups to large corporations.
This is a Zoom webinar – details will be sent to you 24 hours before the session via email.
The session will be recorded for BIPC Devon’s archive. You are free to leave your cameras on or turn them off as you prefer. There will be a chance to ask questions during the session, which you can do via video/audio or by using the Zoom chat function.
