Jen Harris – I’ve been Exeter’s Nappy expert since 2008 when, after the birth of our first daughter, I realised that there was no support or information for parents to access on how to use cloth nappies, my small monthly support groups quickly grew and over time became twice weekly and we totally outgrew our venue. I added on breastfeeding support and a sling library and following some savage cuts to children’s services my business partner and I decided to open our own venue to continue to support new families. The Baby Room is our baby, we are very proud to work with Devon County Council and The NHS filling in gaps and signposting between services. We became a CIC in 2019 and have gone from strength to strength – even through the pandemic, our mission to support is clearly stronger than any disaster. My passion for the environment and all things sustainable drives me to continue to help new families, add on a perinatal mental health slant and we are a truly unique community. https://www.exeterbabies.co.uk/
