Business & IP Centre Devon

Events

The Business & IP Centre at Exeter and Barnstaple Libraries host a range of events and workshops to suit start-ups, entrepreneurs or businesses looking to learn new skills or research their industry.

Due to Covid-19, many of our events are currently hosted online, via Zoom.

Webinars run weekly on a variety of subjects and are a great way to get an overview of a new topic, or a refresher which can help you to look at your business plan in a new light. Whether you’re just starting out or an established business looking to grow, our webinars are useful, inspiring and informative.

One-to-ones are useful for enquiring about how you can access business information and support, to discuss a problem or question you have in a specific area of your business, or to find out more about Intellectual Property. Find out more information on our 1-to-1s page.

**CANCELLED** – The Power of Thought in Times of Change

September 15, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

**Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel this event. Please accept our apologies.**

Join Ann McCluskey to consider how your mind can help/hinder you to make the leap from ‘what is to what if’ and create the future you want

Have you been questioning the ‘upending’ of everyday life during the past 18 months – trying to make sense of it all and wondering what the future holds? Like many of us, it might have given you the space to think about a different way of working – maybe the opportunity to follow your dreams by turning your passion into a business? Carving out your own path to create a balance that works for you and on your terms. Could be time for a change…..

The session will give you an opportunity to consider and discuss how your state of mind and quality of thinking can move you forward or get in the way of creating the change you want to make. Here’s a flavour of what Ann will be covering :-

  • What you see is what you get
  • Your feelings are what you think
  • “Whether you believe you can or believe you can’t, you’re right”
  • Theatre of your mind
  • Lost in thought
  • The ‘yellow brick road’
  • Clutter to calm

If you’re curious about making the leap from ‘what is to what if’ to create the future you want, join us on 15 September.
