The Business & IP Centre at Exeter and Barnstaple Libraries host a range of events and workshops to suit start-ups, entrepreneurs or businesses looking to learn new skills or research their industry.
Webinars run weekly on a variety of subjects and are a great way to get an overview of a new topic, or a refresher which can help you to look at your business plan in a new light. Whether you’re just starting out or an established business looking to grow, our webinars are useful, inspiring and informative.

We all have our Personal Values, and they guide how we run our lives. But somehow when it comes to business, there can be a feeling that values should be left at the door.
In fact, the opposite is true. Identifying and maintaining our values in business is essential for our business to flourish, our personal needs to be met and to find team members and clients that buy-in to what we are trying to achieve.
Your values should shine through in everything you say, all the marketing material you produce and every action your business takes.
Many “business gurus” claim values should be left in the 1990’s and that in the current climate they are not needed. But even a cursory glance shows that consumers and businesses are putting greater store than ever into dealing with companies to whom they share values.
