The Business & IP Centre at Exeter and Barnstaple Libraries host a range of events and workshops to suit start-ups, entrepreneurs or businesses looking to learn new skills or research their industry.
Webinars run weekly on a variety of subjects and are a great way to get an overview of a new topic, or a refresher which can help you to look at your business plan in a new light. Whether you’re just starting out or an established business looking to grow, our webinars are useful, inspiring and informative.
One-to-ones are useful for enquiring about how you can access business information and support, to discuss a problem or question you have in a specific area of your business, or to find out more about Intellectual Property. Find out more information on our 1-to-1s page.
Following on from our “Perfect your Pitch” and “Silencing your Inner Critic” webinars, we invite you to put those skills into practice. Put on your best smile, and make your way to Exeter Library for a networking afternoon with a difference.
At BIPC Devon we believe that female-led businesses have the power to transform our economy and the way we view work. And we know that being a woman in business comes with extra challenges, in a world that wasn’t built for us!
We want to create an environment that springboards every woman we meet into thinking and dreaming bigger, but a positive mindset will only get you so far. What we all need is support, and connections. A community around us that has our best interests at heart, lifts us up and opens doors.
We have teamed up with the marvellous Six Degrees networking to offer our Women in Business attendees an unique opportunity to experience one of their fantastic networking events, for free.
Six degrees was created to combat the lack of representation locally for ambitious business women within networking organisations across Devon.
So this event is an opportunity to go out there and know that YOU belong. Women do belong in business. You do already have the necessary skills to succeed, with the right support.
This is your opportunity to practice your pitch, continue talking about your business, and your achievements in a positive way, and practice using more powerful language.
From “I just sell prints” to “I sell beautiful, one of a kind prints”.
By building your network you will find your tribe, forge connections to boost your business, and continue to grow and contribute to the immeasurable and overwhelmingly positive impact that female led businesses have on our economy.
By creating a network of female led businesses we hope to break the barriers that women face in creating sustainable and scalable businesses.
So join us on Monday 25th of April as ambitious, like minded women from all over Devon come together in an inclusive, supportive, authentic and collaborative space where you’ll make connections that could help you open doors all over the county.
