PLEASE NOTE: This session is part of BIPC Devon’s Women in Business course, session are open to Devon-Based business women.

Understanding the tax implications of starting a new business is often one of the top fears cited by current and future business owners, and it’s no surprise given the UK’s vast and complex tax laws.

Don’t let fear stand between you and your future. This webinar will start you off with the basics of the tax system and it’s application to small business start ups. From choosing a business structure and registering with HMRC, to preparing to compile your first set of accounts, I aim to leave you confident in the next steps, getting you off to the most tax efficient and admin light start in your venture.

Lisa is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax adviser with 20 years experience, specialising in SME businesses. Lisa has been running her own accountancy practice, Lisa Lines Ltd, since 2013 and enjoys strong working relationships with her clients to ensure they get the best value for money in the services she provides.

Lisa’s expertise go beyond compliance and include assisting businesses with various financial tasks such as tax planning, cash flow forecasting and assisting with finance/grant applications.
