May 2022 Newsletter That’s a wrap! BIPC Devon’s Women in Business Course has been a real hit with Devon’s female entrepreneurs and we are so excited to find out what they do next! Our Women in Business Course ran from March to May with over 70 hours of content and events on subjects from wellbeing, relationship management and public speaking to branding, digital marketing and accounting. We ended this week with our last of over 30 events since March 2022, this course was designed and run by Devon’s female business champions. We’ve met over 100 inspiring women from all over the county, through our webinars, networking events, workshops, panel events and talks. We’ve even launched successful free pop-up coworking days at Exeter Library, soon to be rolled out at Barnstaple Library! We will celebrate the end of the course in June with a collaborative networking event with Six Degrees marketing. Look out for an email in your inbox! What’s Next? So what’s next for BIPC Devon? This session will introduce you to GRANTfinder, a large database that allows you to search for grants, loans or other funding opportunities specific to your needs. In this session, we’ll look at searching making your results more relevant saving your results GRANTfinder have allowed us to provide temporary access to the database from home, with your Devon or Torbay Libraries card. Trying to get to grips with what you need to know before you launch or expand? This session will introduce you to some of the business information tools and resources available in Devon Libraries and Torbay Libraries through Business & IP Centre Devon. We’ll cover: Accessing business information resources from Devon and Torbay Libraries Start-Up Information: user friendly guides to hundreds of different industries plus fact-sheets on the practical aspects running a small business. Market research – reports, industry and location information available through your library Company information – finding out about competitors and collaborators For each resource, we’ll show you what’s available, and how to access it.
