On 8th March we celebrated International Women’s Day with the launch of our free, twelve-week Women in Business Course. Designed by women to support and empower female entrepreneurs to break down barriers and thrive in business, this course aims to support women at every stage of their small business journey.
We were absolutely blown away with the interest in our course and we welcomed over 55 attendees to our hybrid event! Clare Palmer of Clarity Coaching hosted 15 women at No5 Restaurant in Exeter with an additional 40 women joining us online. From Brixham to Barnstaple, Tiverton to Totnes and everywhere in between, over 150 women from all over Devon have registered their interest in our free course aimed at kick-starting the business ideas of female entrepreneurs. With twelve weeks of workshops and webinars, we will focus on both professional and personal development to give everyone who signs up the strongest of foundations to launch the small business of their dreams.
Attendees of the launch event were welcomed with a generous free glass of bubbly courtesy our hosts at No 5. Firstly Clare Palmer talked about the key aspects of the course and what to expect from it and subsequently opened the floor for questions. We heard from women who had been waiting for that “right time” to launch a business idea they’ve been working on for 5 years. One person mentioned that starting a business felt quite overwhelming.
Helping you to reach your business goals, one step at a time.
With so many hats to wear as a business owner, from marketing to accounting, it can feel pretty daunting! So we have one piece of advice for anyone thinking of starting out: one step at a time! As long as you keep making small steps towards your goal, and keep on believing in yourself, you will start to see results. Our course is designed with this in mind. Each week we will focus on achieving just one thing, starting with your business plan, and ending with your brand identity.
After the presentation the attendees took the opportunity to network. It was clear from the buzz in the room, that the benefits of being surrounded by the support and enthusiasm of like-minded women all sharing the same journey, was immeasurable!
