Getting Started with Business Finances…it’s not as scary as you think!

September 14, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This session is all of the things I now know, that I wish I had known then; taking the fear out of finances.

If business finance is something new to you (and if it isn’t), it can be one of the most daunting parts of starting and running your business. Yes, there is a lot of training and support available, but personally I needed something a bit different to build my confidence in this area.

When I was starting out I attended a lot of free business finance workshops and support sessions, but they often seemed to be starting in a place I hadn’t yet reached. I wasn’t confident that I could apply the knowledge they gave me, sometimes I didn’t really understand what they were saying or how it applied to me and my business, and, if I’m being honest, half the time I left those sessions feeling like I was failing because I just hadn’t got my head around this part of my business yet. Business finances used to scare and worry me. They used to make me feel like I “wasn’t really a business owner”, even after I was making sales and delivering results for my customers. Later on I discovered that many early-stage business owners (especially women) feel the same way – I wish I had known that this was common sooner.

This session is all of the things I now know, that I wish I had known then; all of the things that make dealing with my business finances less scary. I am a small business owner who has learnt this to run my own business, I am not a financial expert. This session is designed to help you understand the basics and to build your confidence, to enable you to then make the most of some of the other business finance training and information that the experts have created.

Come and join us and take the fear out of this part of your business.
