The Business & IP Centre at Exeter and Barnstaple Libraries host a range of events and workshops to suit start-ups, entrepreneurs or businesses looking to learn new skills or research their industry.

Webinars run weekly on a variety of subjects and are a great way to get an overview of a new topic, or a refresher which can help you to look at your business plan in a new light. Whether you’re just starting out or an established business looking to grow, our webinars are useful, inspiring and informative.

“How to maximize yourself and your business as a neurodiverse person: a guide for start-ups and the self-employed”

Learn about some of the challenges, strengths and benefits of being neurodiverse, and an entrepreneur, from two people who have been there and done it/ are still doing it. Get ideas and practical tips for running a successful business yourself.

This session will cover:

• Practical techniques and exercises in filtering and prioritising business goals and delivery.

• Broader business operation considerations using approaches that are both neurotypical and neurodivergent friendly.

• Introduction to the neuroscience behind some of the advantages that entrepreneurs with neurodivergence possess.

• Strengths as well as challenges of entrepreneurs with ADHD & other conditions.

• Tools for success.

About Anna Schlapp

Anna Schlapp B.A., AACC, ACC is a creativity and ADHD coach. Anna coaches many entrepreneurs and employees with ADHD and associated neurodiverse conditions. She is passionate about helping her multi-talented clients to overcome barriers, flourish and grow to achieve their potential. She has been running her successful coaching business based in Exeter for 7 years under the name Remarkable Difference ADHD Coaching.

About James Wenger

James is a successful entrepreneur and businessperson, having taken a start-up company from two people to a staff of around thirty prior to acquisition. James undertook a senior leadership position in the acquiring company, working on business growth and transformation with a strong focus on employee engagement and empowerment. The company was repeatedly ranked #1 in the prestigious Sunday Times Top 100 Companies to work for awards. After facilitating the transition to new ownership following a lengthy CMA investigation, He departed the business. James is a business angel investor, an academic studying neuroscience, active in networks focussed on neurodiversity and a martial artist with over 20 years teaching experience.
